Place Your Mood on a Board

Seriously, time flies or more precisely, my daytime job has been so taxing that it has completely taken over my life and my passion.

However, I am a person whose passion will not diminished but slowly builds up and explodes in one go. Recently, I have been feeling a little expressive, and so decided to piece up a mood board.

In case if you are wondering, a mood board is a medium used in many creative industries to display inspiration and convey concepts, messages or ideas to an audience, often in the form of a poster or board.

Personally, I have never done any mood board previously, so I was pretty clueless about ways of going about it. But, I had a story to tell...

Without further ado, here is my Mood Board.

Allow me to elucidate.

 HATe

How could someone hate checkered patterns? They have been around for the longest times. They are safe patterns that goes well with plain. Oh, but I do, I do hate them!
It has become so common. I could see it everywhere I go. It reminds me of a caption from a book I read "... There is so much gold around us, it has no value to us. But, stones.. Ah stones.. We barely have any (stones) from where we came.. Can we have more (stones)?"

Same goes with tribal patterns. When things become a trend, its always time to ask "What's next?"

LoVE

I was immediately attracted to this jacket from Pull & Bear FW '12. The denim blends well with the wood buttons. Blue and brown, water and earth are all my favourite combinations. Its too bad that the hot weather prohibits any jacket wearing without sweat.

Sometimes I find weird likings, one of the prevalent ones is my love for wooden buttons. They put a charismatic touch on any clothing. Wood buttons are classy and chic. That is why I love them.

This is Domenico Dolce & Stefano Gabbana's SS'13 men collection. The concept revolves around their homeland Italy (or more precisely Sicilly). I adore the prominently cultured taste in their SS collection. Simply putting it, stripes have become one of my favourites. In fact, I am wearing stripes now as I write. It is one of the many things I look forward in year 2013. My hopes of saying "checkered out, stripes in" is looking bright.

This is a Red Indian war bonnet. What more can I say. I love it, I dreamt of wearing it. In fact, it has become one of my bucket list to do a simple photoshoot in this stunning headgear. Navajo style is definitely something to look forward in the year 2013 for me.

Year 2012 has been a wonderful year, despite the many arduous challenges I have faced. There are so many more things I love in year 2012 that I couldn't cram it into the board (I wish I could)! I am eternally grateful for having the opportunity to travel in Taiwan and Hong Kong with my wonderful family. It was an eye opener for me, and I look forward to many more trips to come.

Also, I want to give thanks to those who have encouraged me to blog! I know the blog has been progressing sluggishly in the recent months, but the start of it has given me so many inspiration and hope. I sincerely thank you for your support.

Please look forward to more of my works and thoughts on fashion coming soon!
